Every believer is curious about their “roots” in Christianity. Many of us yearn to go back to the first century and learn about how things really were. How the early believers worshiped, what they studied, and how they followed Yeshua (Jesus). These questions have caused me to study Scripture and commentaries for many years. And I have prayed earnestly, asking HaShem (G-d) to reveal His Truth to me. And I have realized some basic truths. These truths I would like to share with people who are seeking.
This website and its articles are meant to be a simple introduction to the life of Yeshua and His visit to our planet some 2,000 years ago. His real life. And the best way I could see to do this is to do a study from the Master. Yeshua HaMashiach (Messiah) was and is a Rabbi. He is a teacher of Scripture. I want to examine what He taught and who He was as a Hebrew, in person, here on earth. Then follow what seems a likely and rational way, His path. And that is exactly what He commanded us before He ascended;
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim (disciples), immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son, and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you (the Torah). And remember, I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
It is our command from Him. Our destiny. To become “talmidim” (disciples). Only, I don’t think we have ever been correctly taught how to do this. And really, it can’t be that hard. After all, Yeshua the Rabbi teaches us from the first five books of the Bible – The Torah.
We Need to Imitate Him
To learn to be a talmidim is to learn about Him. If we are to imitate Him, which is what a true disciple does. Then we must know “what” and “how” He did things. We must learn what his Doctrine is. And I believe that doctrine is the Torah.
I pray that as you go through this website, you prepare your heart. Maybe you will not agree with everything I am saying, but what is really important is for you to search the Scriptures. This is simply a first “step” for you and a brief exposure to what the Master believed. May the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) be with you as you study His Word. May He reveal His Truth to you in a special way. Amen!
**Special thanks to my husband, Tom, who has really inspired me to write this simple and basic manual. He has spent hours upon hours studying with me. When we walk our dog in the evening, we will discuss the Bible, the Torah, and our Yeshua. Many times, HaShem has given me special revelation through these discussions.
